What's this all about?

Starting January 15, 2022, privately insured Americans can get reimbursed for up to 8 at-home COVID tests per month (yes, really).

For a family of four, that means up to 32 tests per month. That adds up to more than $300!

But filling out claim forms is confusing and time-consuming.

It should be easier to file claims. Now, it is.
Here’s how it works.

Frequently asked questions

Who is eligible for reimbursement?

Most privately-insured Americans are eligible. That means if you have Medicare or Medicaid, you can't get reimbursed through this, but you can access at-home COVID tests through your specific program. If you have Medicare Advantage, it depends and you should check with your insurer.

Can I get paid back for any COVID test?

The at-home COVID test you buy must be listed on this FDA list of approved tests to be eligible for reimbursement.

Why is this free?

We founded Goodbill to give people more power when it comes to dealing with our healthcare system. Our products mainly focus on helping people pay less on hospital bills, but we saw this as an opportunity to quickly help Americans. If you use this reimbursement product and get to know Goodbill, maybe we can help you with a hospital bill down the line. And that's worth it to us.

Do you sell my data?

Absolutely not.

Do I really have to submit a claim to get my money back?

No, not necessarily. Depending on your insurer, you may be able to go to an in-network pharmacy and get an at-home COVID test for free just by showing your insurance card. Our service is meant for those people who went out of network or their insurer doesn't have anything else set up just yet.

How long until I get my money?

It really depends on your insurer. Some say they can process claims in 10 - 15 business days, while others are closer to 30 days. Once we send your claim, contact your insurer if you have questions about the process or timeline.
